For our members who enjoy texting from their cell phones/mobile devices, Notre Dame Federal Credit Union offers Text Message Banking. This Free service enables you to obtain account information from your cell phone or mobile device via text message (also known as SMS)*. Setup is easy, and works through your established Internet Home Banking account.
Simply log into Online Banking, click "Account Access", and then click "SMS Banking & Alerts". To activate Text Message (SMS) Banking, simply click "Activate" and follow the quick and easy instructions. Be sure to have your cell phone near you when you are setting up Text Message Banking, as you will be sent a code to enter as part of the activation process.
You will enjoy the same security measures you enjoy with Internet Home Banking and Mobile Banking when you sign up for Text Message Banking. Plus, your account numbers will always be masked (truncated with asterisks) to ensure the safety of your financial data. With Text Message Banking, you have ultimate control of the service. You determine what information you want sent to you, and you decide which of your phones may receive text information about your accounts. It's safe, secure, and easy.
Text Message Banking works with simple keywords. Keywords are sent to 454545, and a text message response is sent to you with the requested information within one minute or less (depending on your mobile service provider). Your keyword choices are shown below:
BAL = Primary account balance
BAL ALL = All account balances
BAL CHK = Checking account balances
BAL SAV = Saving account balances
