FACTS What does NOTRE DAME FEDERAL CREDIT UNION do with your personal information?

 The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

•  Social Security Number    and    Name, Address, Phone numbers
•  E-mail address                 and    Birthdate, Account terms and
•  balance, Loan terms         and    balance

 

When you are no longer our member, we continue to share your information as described in this notice.

How? All financial companies need to share members' personal information to run their every day business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their members' personal information; the reasons Notre Dame Federal Credit Union chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

How does Notre Dame Federal Credit Union protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to safeguard non-public personal information.
How does Notre Dame Federal Credit Union collect my personal information? We collect personal information, for example, when you
•  complete an application or other form, or when you
•  complete a transaction with us, our affiliates, our nonaffiliates, or others.
•  We may also collect information from consumer reporting agencies.
Why can't I limit all sharing? Federal law give you the right to limit only

•  sharing for affiliates' everyday business


•  affiliates from using your information to market to you


•  sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you. State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

 

Definitions
Affiliates Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Nonaffiliates Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Joint marketing A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

Other important information
We recognize and respect the privacy expectations of our members. We restrict access to non-public, personally identifiable information about our members and former members to those employees with an authorized business reason for needing such information. We educate employees so they will understand the importance of confidentiality and member privacy. Notre Dame Federal Credit Union insists that if personally identifiable member information is provided to a third party, the Credit Union will assure that similiar privacy principles are provided for keeping such information confidential.
