Member Bill of Rights
Notre Dame Federal Credit Union recognizes and respects the privacy expectations of our members. In this regard, Notre Dame Federal Credit Union has established a set of policy guidelines agreed to and followed by each of our emploees. These guidelines are:
- Notre Dame Federal Credit Union will collect, retain and use information about individual members only where Notre Dame Federal Credit Union reasonably believes it would be useful (and allowed by law) to administer our organization's business and to provide products, services, and other opportunities to its members. Notre Dame Federal Credit Union will collect non-public personal information from the following sources: information we receive from you on applications or other forms; information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and information we receive from consumer reporting agencies.
- Notre Dame Federal Credit Union has established procedures to ensure that each member's financial information is accurate, current, and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards.
- Notre Dame Federal Credit Union restricts access to non-public personally identifiable information about our members and former members to those employees with an authorized business reason for such information. Notre Dame Federal Credit Union educates our employees so that they will understand the importance of confidentiality and member privacy. Notre Dame Federal Credit Union also takes appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce employee privacy responsibilities.
- Notre Dame Federal Credit Union maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to safeguard non-public personal member information.
- Notre Dame Federal Credit Union does not reveal specific information about member accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such information or in performance of bona fide corporate due diligence, unless
- the information is provided to help complete a member-initiated transaction;
- the member makes a request;
- the disclosure is required by/or allowed by law (i.e., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, etc.);
- the member has been informed about the possibility of such disclosure for marketing or similar purposes through a prior communication and has been given the opportunity to decline (i.e., "opt out").
- Notre Dame Federal Credit Union insists that if personally identifiable member information is provided to a third party, the credit union will assure that similar privacy principles are provided for keeping such information confidential.

Notre Dame Federal Credit Union holds the right to revise such policy at any time without prior notice.
