Cashiers Checks

Cashiers Checks are drafts that guarantee availability of funds. They are designed for those who do not have checking accounts but need a check to pay bills, etc.

• No limit on the dollar amount of the check; teller completes the check, member signs receipt
• $5.00 fee per check; Member Emeritus members do not pay fee. Checks are also free if member has direct deposit, an open loan, or is under 23 years of age. Checks drawn from member's savings account and made payable to the member are free. There is a limit of two (2) free Cashiers Checks per day.
• Receipt for member's records
• Widely accepted; money is guaranteed; a stop payment may be issued in extreme cases
